United Methodist Men (UMM)

The purpose of United Methodist Men:

Shall be a creative, supportive, fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus; to grow spiritually; and to seek daily His will.

What does that mean? Accept Christ as your Savior, learn about Him, study His word and act like Him. Pretty simple but a tough row to hoe.

At Blue Springs First there are numerous men in small groups doing numerous things. These men meet as time and need require. Ushers, grounds keeping, building maintenance, leading Sunday school, church committees, Boy Scouts, Disaster Relief, missions, well to many to name all but the men of First church are an active group.

There are three groups of men with actual meetings:

UMMen breakfast group

Gets together the 1st Saturday of every month, 8am, room 112, for about 90 minutes or so. All men are welcome. Fellowship, breakfast, discussion of the status of mission projects new and on going, an occasional guest speaker plus a timely devotional.

Men's Lunch Group

This group meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month, at noon, room 112, for about 60 minutes or so. All men are welcome. Fellowship, lunch, normally a guest speaker and discussion of any undertakings.

ROMEO Men (Retired Old Men Eating Out)

Gathers the 1st Tuesday of the month and like to eat "out". Well they're not all retired or old. All men are welcome. Good fellowship at a local restaurant.
