Learning Ladder has been in operation since 1971. We are an outreach program of First United Methodist Church as a non-profit preschool. We are inspected and must be in compliance with Missouri Department of Health Bureau of Childcare License-exempt childcare rules. Our success is due, in part, to the support we receive from parents. We appreciate you telling your friends about our program. If you know someone who may be interested in enrolling their child/ren, please tell them to call or stop by during preschool hours.

Your child's age on July 31 determines what class they are in. The only exception is Toddlers who must be 18 months by September 30.

Age levels

Pre-K 4 year olds

Climbers 3 year olds

Steppers 2 year olds

Toddlers 18 months-2 years

Pre-K and Climbers is offered as a 3-day program:

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday-10:00am-2:00pm

Nursery, Toddlers and Steppers is offered as a 2-day program:

Tuesday/Thursday-10:00am-2:00pm

Or a 3-day program:

Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday-10:00am-2:00pm

We have limited space available in our one-day a week "Mother's Day Out/Nursery".

Babies must be at least 3 months and no older than 18 months. Children bring their lunch and we provide 2% milk.
