Financial Peace University
Our next 13-week
session starts August 21, 2008,
on Thursday nights. Class times
run from 6:30-8:00pm.
The sessions are led by a member
of our church that has gone through
the FPU program. Your "FPU
Facilitator" will guide
you through the program during
the 13-week session via workbook
and DVD's featuring Dave Ramsey.
If you would like to learn how
to control your money, instead
of your money controlling you,
contact Reed Alberg at FPU@firstumcbs.org
to let him know you are interested
in the next session! Orientation/Free
Preview Sessions will be held
on Wednesday, August 13,
2008 at 7:00pm and on Sunday
morning August 17, 2008 at noon.
Contact Reed for more details.
Did
you know there are over 800
scripture references to personal
finance in the Bible?
Dave Ramsey was a young hotshot
real estate professional in Nashville,
TN, who hit bottom and lost it
all in the 80's.
As he recovered and made his
way back - in the middle of a
recession - people started seeking
him out and asking
him how he did it. "How'd
you do it, Dave? How'd you keep
your marriage together? How did
you put your
financial house back together?"
Financial Peace University is
the result of Dave's journey
and the personal financial counseling
practice that grew
out of that journey.
Over 100,000 families and individuals
have attended FPU nationwide
at their workplace, church, military
base, local non-profit organization
or community group. On average
these families have paid off
over $5,300 in debt and saved
$2,700
during this 91-day program!
Are
you in financial trouble? Do
you have "too much month
left at the end of the money?" Whether
you just need a personal finance "check-up" or
a complete "Total Money
Makeover," Financial Peace
University has something of value
for YOU!
What is FPU?
