Christianity is practiced based on the life, ways, and teachings of the founder, Jesus of Nazareth, also called Christ. The Christian belief varies amongst churches, but they generally accept the use of the Holy Bible which contains significant scriptures that portrays the life of Jesus, His teachings, disciples, and a guide to how Christians should live their lives.

Types of Christianity

Although Christianity is the most practiced religion in the world, there are different interpretations of the bible which has led to the division of Christianity into different subgroups. However, each of these subgroups may have similar or different beliefs and practices. These include; Catholic, orthodox, and protestant Christianity.

The Christians have common teaching of the bible which every Christian ought to imbibe in their daily living are;

  • Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour

Conclusion

The catholic church is governed by the supreme pontiff, also known as the Pope. The pope is usually based in Rome, which is the home to the pope of the Roman Catholic church. The leader of the other non-catholic churches is often regarded as the General Overseer of each church.

An individual can’t start up a Catholic church of his own, but a person can decide to start up his church anytime, any day.
